The series began in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on September 9, 2009, and has been collected into 21 tankobon volumes as of April 9, 2018. The story follows the lives of humans who live within a walled city called District 8 after Titans begin to appear and eat almost all humans.
